Superfood Spotlight: The Gingerbread Smoothie

The only thing this holiday smoothie is missing is that fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie smell. Other than that, this smoothie is fresh-baked gingerbread on the nose!

While we don’t recommend skipping all other forms of gingerbread entirely this season, this smoothie will certainly help you nip those sugar cravings in the bud. Loaded with hemp protein, mood-boosting superfood mucuna powder, warming spices, and Pressed Juicery’s seasonal Spiced Almond Milk, this smoothie supplies a solid dose of nutrition you can drink down daily. Superfood Gingerbread Smoothie
Serves 2

Ingredients:

1 16 oz bottle of Pressed Juicery’s Spiced Almond Milk or choice of nut milk 
2 Tbsp Nutiva hemp protein
1-2 Tbsp Nutiva coconut manna or coconut butter
1 Tbsp Sun Potion Mucuna powder (optional)
1 banana or 1/2 cup young coconut meat
1/2-inch thumb of ginger, or 1/2 tsp dried ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp clove
stevia to taste 

Directions:

Grate ginger and add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend on high speed until well combined.
