We love sharing beauty insights from the women in natural beauty we admire most. Beauty icon Linda Rodin with her haiku of a skin care line, RODIN olio lusso, is just one of those green goddesses whose thoughts we couldn’t wait to read and to share. Rodin has lived out every stylish girl’s dreams. She modeled the mod boots and minis of the 60’s, owned one of Soho’s first concept shops before shopping in Soho was a thing, served as fashion editor for a stint at Harper’s Bazaar and went on to style everyone from Madonna to Gisele. This timeless beauty’s crowning achievement, however, is undoubtedly her obsession-worthy skincare line, RODIN olio lusso.

Blending 11 essential oils into a rich, luxurious face elixir, Linda’s first skincare product whipped up a beauty industry storm that left the oil a cult classic. The oil, in it’s spare and simply labeled glass bottle has become a stylish vanity must-have, as essential as the minimalistic chic Linda herself embodies. Now, the skincare line includes several, vital-feeling beauty products, including a pink-hued jasmine orange lip balm and perfume based on the face oil’s original scent.

It’s no surprise to find that Linda’s beauty regimen is quite simple, but we think the few stylish tricks and tips she includes here make it quintessentially Rodin! Here’s Linda…

Can’t travel without…

My dog Winks and my oils.

Always in my evening clutch:

Lipstick and keys.

In a pinch I…

I manage…there is always something out there to save oneself in dire straits.

Obsession of the moment:

Southern Italy.

Beautifying snack/meal:

Tomatoes, avocado and arugula, with coarse salt and Italian olive oil. And a pinch of lemon and pepper.

Beauty tool:

My lip pencil #16 from Makeup Forever and underneath it, Fran Wilson’s MoodMatcher is great.

Beautifying drink:

Harmless Harvest Coconut Water – hopefully a pink one.

For ultra-glamorous effect:

I love mascara when I’m in the mood. I have very curly eyelashes and they look very spidery and cool with mascara.

Perfect pout:

Nars Schiap, and By Terry Pink Party.

In the shower I keep…

Shampoo and a Japanese loofa.

Once a month I…

Make sure I’ve paid for cable.

Weirdest beauty habit:

Washing my face in clean, driven snow.

On my bedside table…

I keep my Lip Balm and Perfume.

After a long-night or rough weekend…

I unwind with my Winks.

On little sleep I rely on…

A large cappuccino.

The product that changed my skin…

Most treasured beauty tip…

Keep it simple and hydrate your skin.

My go-to DIY:

I am always making something out of something else. I hate to throw away things that can be used again for alternative purposes.
